Yesterday, a little after 1pm, the merciful, triune God, Creator and Lord of heaven and earth released Dalton's dad, Jody Caraway, into the ever lasting bliss of eternity and rest. Jody died at the age of 31 to live again. His passing was just one day after the passing of Dr. D. James Kennedy, renowned pastor, biblical expositor, theologian, teacher, and leader.

Dr. Kennedy was the founding pastor of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the originator of the program Evangelism Explosion, Creator of the internationally seen program Truths and Transform, and a zealous articulate leader among the Christian Church in the 20th century.

Jody Caraway was a loving husband, father, and faithful Christian man whose life ought to be a pattern for the quiet faithfulness that all Christian men and women ought to exhibit.

Dr. Kennedy wrote the words below prior to his death. They apply to both men, because both had the same certainty and hope. I trust they are true of your thoughts concerning your own looming death.

"Now, I know that someday I am going to come to what some people will say is the end of this life. They will probably put me in a box and roll me right down here in front of the church, and some people will gather around, and a few people will cry. But I have told them not to do that because I don't want them to cry. I want them to begin the service with the Doxology and end with the Hallelujah chorus, because I am not going to be there, and I am not going to be dead. I will be more alive than I have ever been in my life, and I will be looking down upon you poor people who are still in the land of dying and have not yet joined me in the land of the living. And I will be alive forevermore, in greater health and vitality and joy than ever, ever, I or anyone has known before." D. James Kennedy

Please pray for both the Kennedy and Caraway families.
